EQUITA assisted Sbe-Varvit
Milano, 14th November 2023 – SBE-Varvit – a leading European player in the global fasteners market – debuted today on Euronext Growth Milan and commits to the listing on the regulated segment of Borsa Italiana in the next three years.
The offering – closed on November 10th – comprises several innovative features allowing for maximum deal certainty in an extremely tough IPO market environment, with no relevant transactions priced and two pulled in the past few weeks in Europe. These innovations – which include the presence of a cornerstone investor acting on behalf of a number of families and entrepreneurs – have contributed to enhance the transaction momentum, valuation discipline and quality of demand and allocation.
The commitment of the cornerstone investor turned the process into a fixed-price IPO at €8.33 per share, leading to an implied market capitalisation of €975 million.
EQUITA acted as Joint Global Coordinator, Joint Bookrunner and Euronext Growth Advisor and the transaction was successfully managed thank to the strong collaboration of the Investment Banking team and the trading floor, further underscoring the EQUITA’s leading ECM franchise.
This was the 6th IPO successfully priced by EQUITA in 2023 – more than any other investment bank in Europe – and the 10th cash ECM transaction completed in Italy since the beginning of the year – over 2x more than any other institutions.
