Our story
Founded in 1973 as Euromobiliare, Equita has a long-standing tradition of independent investment banking. Today Equita is a key player among financial institutions and corporates, having participated in the most significant financial transactions executed in Italy over the last 20 years.
After the period in which it belonged to both foreign and Italian banking groups (Midland Bank since 1988 and Credito Emiliano since 1994), the top management of Euromobiliare – leading shareholder since 2002 – completed a management buyout at the end of 2007, supported by the private equity funds J.C. Flowers & Co. and Mid Industry Capital.
In 2008 Euromobiliare changed its name to Equita that evokes the founding principles of the company: equity brokerage, corporate finance, strong roots in the domestic market, ethical standards and transparency.
