EQUITA raises its advisory profile in energy, utilities and infrastructure with a new appointment. The team welcomes Gianfilippo Mancini as senior advisor
Milan, February 24th, 2026 - EQUITA, the leading independent investment bank in Italy, continues to grow its team and announces the appointment of Gianfilippo Mancini as senior advisor, further expanding its investment banking expertise in energy, utilities, and infrastructure.
With a long-standing, international career as manager, Mancini has held senior roles in leading corporates such as Olivetti, Enel and Sorgenia – including as CEO of the latter for eight years – and led some of the most significant energy sector transformations in Italy of the last twenty years. For ten years, Mancini has seated as member of the investment committee and board director of both Marguerite and FIEE, European infrastructure funds focused on decarbonisation.
His appointment will raise EQUITA’s profile and the bank’s first-class advisory capabilities in the energy and utility sectors, where the Investment Banking team already has a successful and growing track-record. Mancini will also elevate EQUITA research analysts’ proven expertise and industry knowledge, as well as other Group initiatives, including the ones related to the infrastructure and renewable energy investments of EQUITA Green Impact Fund – EGIF.
