Simone Riviera

Born in the province of Mantua, he graduated cum laude in Economics of Institutions and Financial Markets from Bocconi University in Milan.

In 2001, he began his career in Corporate Finance with an experience at Gallo & C. – Meliorbanca Group, before joining Mediobanca as an analyst and subsequently as an associate in the M&A Advisory & Equity Investments team. In 2007, he moved to London to join Goldman Sachs, working within the Corporate Finance team and supporting the investment bank’s Italian clients.

He joined EQUITA in 2009 as a Vice President in the Corporate Advisory team and, over the years, took on roles of increasing responsibility, becoming Managing Director and Head of Corporate M&A in 2017. Over the course of his career, he has gained significant experience in complex corporate finance transactions, advising leading Italian and international corporates. 

From 2022 to 2025, he served as Deputy Head of EQUITA’s Investment Banking division. In 2026, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of EQUITA Group, after serving as Deputy General Manager from 2024 and being appointed Co-General Manager in 2025.
