Luigi de Bellis

Born in Benevento, he graduated cum laude in Economics and Management of Financial Institutions and Markets from Bocconi University in Milan, where he subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance.

He began his career at UniCredit Banca Mobiliare (UBM) with experience in the Equity Derivatives team, before joining Deutsche Bank where he worked in Credit Risk Management.

He joined EQUITA in 2007, starting his career in Equity Research and becoming over time one of Italy’s leading sell-side analysts, with expertise across sectors including asset gatherers, industrials and oil services.

In 2018, he was appointed Co-Head of EQUITA’s Research team which – also under his leadership – achieved significant recognition in major international surveys, consistently ranking at the top of investor preferences for the quality of research on Italian small and mid caps. Over the years, he has also been recognized as one of the leading analysts in Europe by the Wall Street Journal Europe’s Best Analysts survey.

In 2026, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of EQUITA Group, after serving as Deputy General Manager from 2024 and being appointed Co-General Manager in 2025.
