Equita per Brera
Strong committment to promote culture and support young talented artists
Equita signed a partnership with Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera with the objective to create value through an initiative that rewards young talented figures, didactics and research in artistic disciplines, in one of the most important cultural and artistic location in Milan.
The three-year partnership Equita per Accademia di Brera foresees a rich set of activities that include:
- attribution of the award Premio Equita per Brera to promote the initiative Accademia Aperta – that takes place each year between July and August – through the selection and acquisition of three artworks selected by a committee of Equita and Academy’s members;
- payment of scholarships to students of the Academy and subsidies for lectures and research dedicated to tutors;
- publication on the event Accademia Aperta with an exclusive Italian publishing house;
- organisation of events in Brera and Equita’s headquarter.

Franco Marrocco, Dean Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera: “It is very important to let corporates get a deep understanding of the value of our great Academy, having them walking alongside our initiatives, not only providing financial support but also sharing and developing them in the interest of territory, community and youth. The partnership we signed with Equita is part of a more comprehensive project on research update and artistic creation launched by the Academy, and confirms the identity of Brera as place to be, unique and characteristic, able to combine workshop practices with theoretical discussions.”
Stefano Pizzi, Chair in Painting Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera: “During the summer Accademia Aperta reveals to the public its hidden venues, classrooms, laboratories and ateliers, giving to students of different art-schools the chance to present their workshops. Each year our classrooms became – for a month – a true showroom.”
Francesco Perilli, Chairman Equita Group: “The partnership with a recognized Academy like Brera is completely in line with the idea that Equita has about progress and future: thanks to a consolidated cultural tradition, coupled with values that in turn young talented could bring and spread – coming from each part of the world – , we enrich the society and the economy. Despite our job is focused on creating value exploiting competences in economics and finance, we likewise want to contribute actively to the promotion of cultural initiatives which are key for the development of the country.”
