Equita tops Institutonal Inverstor's rankings with its sales and corporate access activities

  • Equita’s salesforce tops Institutional Investor’s sales ranking in “adding value to research”, “global context”, “idea generation”, “market knowledge and feel”, “service and responsiveness”, “small & midcaps” and “understanding client needs” attributes. The team also ranked second in the “Overall Italy: All-Europe Generalist Sales Team” category and first among Italian independent brokers

Equita, the leading independent investment bank in Italy, confirmed its leading position in sales and corporate access activities, ranking at the top of the Institutional Investor’s surveys – where each year thousands of domestic and international investors vote to nominate the best brokers in the financial industry. This accomplishment adds to the standing positioning gained earlier this month by the Equita Research Team.

The Equita sales team, led by Fabio Arcari – Head of Sales & Trading – and Vincenzo Abbagnano and Cristiano Rho – Co-Heads of Global Marketstop the survey published by Institutional Investor by ranking first in terms of number of votes received from investors in the following attributes:

  • Adding value to research
  • Global context
  • Idea generation
  • Market knowledge & Feel
  • Service & Responsiveness
  • Small & Mid-Cap
  • Understanding client needs

In the Overall Italy: All-Europe Generalist Sales Teamcategory, the team positioned second in the general ranking and first among Italian independent brokers. The sales team also ranked first by votes from long only institutional investors and second by votes from hedge funds.

97% of total votes received by Equita (75 out of 77) were in the higher part of the valuation range (score of 4 or 5 out of a maximum of 5) and approximately 80% (61 out of 77) of votes received were excellent (score of 5 out of 5), which shows the quality and the professionalism with which the sales team supports investors every day.

Equita also ranked first in the “Overall Italy: Corporate & Expert Meetings” category for its corporate access activities, through which it arranges meetings, sector conferences and videoconferences, promoting dialogue opportunities between investors and listed companies.

The excellent result achieved by Equita in international surveys was possible thanks to the fruitful collaboration between the Sales & Trading team and the Research team, as well as the full commitment of sales to always offer high quality services to clients. Over the years, Equita has significantly strengthened its trading floor, resulting in the largest independent salesforce in Italy today, diversifying its product offering also in the fixed income domain.
